"BIS got the call yesterday afteroon to open for Our Lady Peace in Mount Pearl after K-OS were a no-show. This concert turned out to be the biggest and best yet for BIS, with over 10,000 people in attendance. Lighters were burning for "Your Voice", and the crowd were singing along with the band on all the familiar radio songs. The audience were pretty primed up for OLP by the time BIS was finished with them.

Chris: "We were thrilled to play for our hometown audience again. A last-minute call turned out to be a screamin' show, and our largest audience to date. What a laugh we had! Our old pal Jon LeDrew rejoined the band on lead guitar, and I played bass. Andrew went electric, and we all made some serious noise. We had no time to worry about the size of the show, so we were really laid-back and able to enjoy it completely."

In other news, Chris is going to be acting in a movie (being filmed in St. John's) as a jazz guitarist. He is shooting his scenes in early October. "I always wanted to be in a movie. I've done some theatre acting in the past, but never acted in front of the camera. It's a non-speaking role as part of a band, but it should be a great experience. There are some very talented people involved, and it's a big production. I'm looking forward to it very much."

In mid-Oct Andrew will be releasing his debut solo album. Look for it at Freds and Music world around town. the 12 track album will be entitled Ladies Lookout. Andrew's website should be up and running by then. Look for it to be at andrewledrew.com

"The shows in GFW were great! Playing with the Stampeders at the stadium Friday night was a true lesson in rock and roll......they are the ultimate professionals. After 35 years, they still have a fire for it - pretty inspiring. And the Salmon fesival concert - what can I say? We had a ball playing on that big stage. We were very happy with our performance, and our big brother Ron joining us on harmonica was a blast. BIS loves Grand Falls-Windsor. We're treated very well in that town, and really appreciate it. We hope this Friday at Club One is a continuation of the good times we're having so far this summer."
- Chris

"Salmon fest went great. Despite the weather, everyone had a good time. The hip as usual were amazing. The Mount Peyton lounge became a jam session with myself, Barry and Mike Davis. The stereo in the bar was shut off and the songs started. Both Finger Eleven and the hip were in a backed bar for an unexpected jam that lasted 2 hours. My acoustic took a beating that night. Great times."
- Andrew
